How We Review Playgrounds

Our goal is not to give every playground a glowing review. It is to help a family decide whether a place fits the outing they are actually planning.

Our evidence labels

Personally visited means someone from Singapore Playgrounds has been there and the page can include first-hand observations. Editor researched means substantive source-based research without claiming a visit. Verified means important practical facts have been checked. Community mapped is an early directory record still awaiting fuller research.

What we compare

Where the information is available, we consider age fit, range of play, supervision, shade and weather exposure, toilets and changing facilities, accessibility, transport, admission price, likely visit length and whether a playground offers enough to justify travelling for it.

First-hand visits

Visit dates, actual visit length, supervision notes and similar observations are only filled after a genuine editorial visit. A page can still be useful and well researched without a visit, but it will be labelled differently.

Recommendations and drawbacks

Our verdict should explain both the strongest reason to go and the main limitation. A good neighbourhood playground may still be described as not worth crossing Singapore for; a paid attraction may be useful for a specific age group without being the best value for everyone.

Parent and external feedback

Community reviews, structured parent check-ins and external review sources are kept separate from our editorial judgement. They can add useful evidence about crowds, visit length and current conditions, but they do not automatically determine our verdict.
