How We Review Playgrounds

Our goal is not to give every playground a five-star write-up. It is to help families decide whether a particular playground suits the day they are planning.

What we look at

Where information is available, we consider age suitability, range of play equipment, accessibility, shade, toilets, stroller access, food and parking nearby, transport, admission price, opening hours, likely visit length and how the space fits into the surrounding park or venue.

First-hand visits and desk research

Not every listing represents a first-hand editorial visit. When our team has visited or independently reviewed a playground, the editorial verdict can include that experience. Other pages may begin as researched directory listings using official sources and community mapping. We do not present desk research as a personal visit.

Online reviews

Third-party reviews may be summarised in our own words or displayed through an authorised live service with attribution. Short quoted excerpts are kept attributed to their original author or publication and linked back to the source. We do not copy large blocks of review text.

Community scores

Parent ratings, comments and recommendation votes are community signals. They do not determine the editorial verdict and are moderated for relevance, abuse and personal information involving children.

Commercial relationships

Advertising, sponsorship or complimentary access does not buy a better community ranking. Any sponsored editorial placement should be clearly labelled.
