Editor’s verdict
Harvey Crescent Playground is a straightforward neighbourhood playground rather than a destination you would cross the island for, but that does not make it any less useful. Its biggest strength is convenience: the compact layout makes it easy for parents to keep an eye on younger children, while the surrounding residential setting gives it a quieter, more local feel than Singapore’s larger park playgrounds.
There is not the same range of equipment or sense of adventure you would get at places like Admiralty Park or Coastal PlayGrove, so older children may lose interest fairly quickly. For toddlers and preschoolers, however, it can be a good option for a short burst of outdoor play, especially if you already live nearby or are visiting the Upper Changi area.
