The quick take

Editor’s verdict

Waka Waka feels more like the classic large indoor playground than many of Singapore's newer concept-driven play spaces, and that is probably its biggest appeal. The safari-themed main structure is built around climbing, tunnels, trampolines, obstacle courses and big slides, giving energetic children plenty of opportunities to run around rather than moving through a series of small activity stations.

There is also a dedicated toddler section, which makes the venue workable for families with younger children, although the main playground is much better once children are confident enough to climb independently. Waka Waka currently caters to children from around seven months to 12 years old, but preschoolers and younger primary-school children are likely to get the most out of the larger play structures.

The playground is spacious and there is a café/lounge area where adults can sit, which is useful if your child is old enough to play without needing you beside them every few minutes. The biggest concern in recent parent feedback is upkeep. Several current reviews still describe parts of the playground as looking tired or in need of maintenance, so expectations should be set accordingly.

For the current S$22 weekday admission, though, it remains a fairly good-value option, particularly because weekday play is unlimited. Families with active preschoolers who care more about slides, climbing and space than polished Instagram-friendly interiors will probably get the most from it.

What other families are saying

Around the web

Families consistently like the amount of space and the range of physical play. The large slides, bouncy elements, climbing areas and separate toddler section are frequently mentioned, and several parents say their children were happily occupied for a couple of hours. The café and parent seating are another recurring positive, particularly for adults with children old enough to explore independently.

The most consistent criticism is maintenance. Recent Klook feedback mentions that some areas feel rundown, while other visitors have commented on darker sections of the playground and the need for closer supervision when older children are using the same structures as younger ones. Service experiences also appear inconsistent, especially during busy periods.

For families visiting on a quieter weekday, feedback tends to be better. Parents frequently describe Waka Waka as spacious, good for burning off energy and particularly enjoyable for preschool-age children.

Common positives: Large play area, exciting slides, good physical play, toddler section, café/seating for parents and reasonable weekday value

Common drawbacks: Some equipment and areas can feel dated, service can be inconsistent during busy periods, and additional arcade/adventure activities may cost extra
